Karanwal Capital - Chartered Accountant - Finance & Taxation

Karanwal Capital is a technology-first Proprietary Trading Firm and Family Office. We manage internal capital through high-frequency algorithmic strategies and fundamental investments. We are looking for a Chartered Accountant to take ownership of the firm's financial backbone, ensuring airtight compliance and tax efficiency.

The Role: This is not a traditional audit role. You will work directly with the Founder to manage the financial operations of a high-volume trading desk. You will be responsible for navigating the complex tax landscape of derivatives trading, capital gains, and family office wealth structuring.

Key Responsibilities:

Trading Taxation: manage computation of Business Income vs. Capital Gains, STT, and Turnover Tax Audits for F&O and Equity segments.

Books of Accounts: Maintain precise ledgers for the proprietary desk, ensuring daily reconciliation with broker contract notes (Zerodha/Interactive Brokers).

Compliance & Audit: Handle Statutory Audits, Tax Audits, and ROC compliances for the firm. Ensure timely filing of GST and TDS returns.

Cash Flow Management: Monitor margin utilization, fund deployment across brokers, and banking relationships.

Family Office Advisory: Assist the Founder in personal tax planning, wealth structuring, and investment tracking.

Requirements:

Qualification: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA). First/Second attempt preferred.

Domain Knowledge: Must thoroughly understand Income Tax provisions for Stock Market Trading (Section 43(5), 44AD, etc.).

Tech Savvy: Expert in Excel and Tally/Zoho Books. Comfortable dealing with large datasets of trade logs.

Attitude: High integrity, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced trading environment.
