Description:
1. Letters of Credit (LCs) & Bank Guarantees Management:
- Prepare and Review: Draft, review, and process various types of Letters of Credit (LCs) UCP 600, Bank Guarantees (URDG758), and other trade finance documents, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and bank policies.
- Verification: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all documentation related to LCs, Bank Guarantees, and other financial instruments.
- Coordination: Work closely with banks, suppliers, and customers to facilitate the opening, amendments, and settlement of LCs and Bank Guarantees.
- Timely Execution: Ensure all processes related to LCs and guarantees are carried out in a timely manner to avoid delays in shipments, payments, and performance guarantees.
2. Trade Finance Documentation:
- Documentary Collection: Coordinate the collection and negotiation of trade finance documents under various instruments like sight drafts, time drafts, and bills of exchange.
- Compliance: Ensure that all trade documents are compliant with UCP 600 (Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits) and ICC guidelines.
- Reconciliation: Ensure proper reconciliation of trade finance transactions, handling discrepancies and disputes with counterparties and financial institutions.
3. Bank Finance & Treasury Operations:
- Fund Management: Assist in managing bank facilities, including trade finance lines, working capital loans, and overdraft facilities.
- Cash Flow Analysis: Monitor and manage treasury operations by ensuring adequate liquidity for day-to-day operations and financing requirements.
- Risk Management: Assist in managing and mitigating financial risks related to trade finance, currency fluctuations, and payment default.
4. Relationship Management:
- Stakeholder Interaction: Liaise with internal departments (Sales, Procurement, Legal, Finance) and external parties (banks, clients, vendors) to ensure smooth trade finance operations.
- Customer Support: Provide support to customers by addressing any trade finance-related queries or issues that may arise during the lifecycle of LCs or Bank Guarantees.
5. Reporting & Compliance:
- Reporting: Prepare and submit periodic reports on trade finance operations, LC status, and bank guarantee utilization to senior management.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), and International Trade regulations.
6. Process Improvement:
- Documentation Process: Continuously improve the documentation and processing workflow for trade finance instruments, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- System Implementation: Contribute to the implementation of trade finance management systems and tools for better monitoring and execution.
