We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Business Development Head to drive our growth in this key market.
Position Overview:
The Business Development Head - Stamping Products for Solar Structures will be responsible for strategically leading and expanding our business within the rapidly growing solar energy market. This role requires a deep understanding of both the metal stamping industry and the solar structure market, with a proven ability to identify opportunities, build relationships, and secure profitable contracts. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping our go-to-market strategy and achieving significant revenue growth in this sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy specifically for stamping products within the solar structure market.
- Identify and target key players in the solar industry, including solar structure manufacturers, EPCs (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction firms), developers, and large-scale project owners.
- Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within target organizations.
- Actively identify new business opportunities, market segments, and potential applications for our stamping products in solar structures.
- Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to understand market trends, competitive landscape, customer needs, and regulatory environment impacting the solar structure market.
- Collaborate with the engineering and technical teams to understand product capabilities, identify potential for new product development tailored to solar applications, and effectively communicate technical value propositions to clients.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and quotations to prospective clients.
- Lead contract negotiations to secure profitable business while ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
- Work closely with the sales and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of projects and high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
- Monitor and report on business development activities, market trends, and sales forecasts to senior management.
- Stay abreast of advancements in solar technology and materials, as well as innovations in metal stamping relevant to the solar industry.
- Potentially build and manage a small team of business development professionals focused on the solar sector as the business grows.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in business administration, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or advanced technical degree is a plus.
- Proven track record of success in business development, with a minimum of 15+ years of experience.
- Significant experience in either the metal stamping industry or the solar energy sector is required.
- Experience in both is highly desirable.
- A strong understanding of solar structure components and their manufacturing processes is a significant advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and penetrate new markets and build a strong pipeline of opportunities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients and partners at all levels.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to develop and implement effective market penetration strategies.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret market data and financial reports.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel extensively as required.
