Read more about us at: https://www.kalagato.co Job Title: Engineering Manager (VP of Engineering) Reporting to COO Job profile: We are looking for an engineering manager or VP of Engineering to join our product/engineering team. You will manage a portfolio of apps we have acquired / plan to acquire. We have already acquired 8 apps and are on track to grow to 15+ apps in the next 6 months. The mobile engineering, QA, and design team will report to this role. Responsibilities: 1. Build innovative, exceptional, and well-engineered mobile applications with intuitive, well-designed user interfaces that satisfy customer requirements - internal and external. 2. Lead the technical design, development, and deployment of KalaGato's applications and SDKs (both from the frontend and backend point of view) 3. Identifies, recommends, and implements new technologies and systems to improve the architecture of different apps 4. Provide oversight of systems architecture for new features and ongoing maintenance for existing ones 5. Work closely with various teams, internal stakeholders, and third-party partners on complex projects ensuring development is aligned with our technology strategy and roadmap 6. Develop a vision for the mobile & backend team at KalaGato and execute your plans to turn that vision into a reality 7. Create and foster collaborative relationships with Product, Design, Ad Operations, Backend, Sales, and Customer Success teams, supporting them to ensure that products are correctly defined, documented, tested, and released 8. Assess existing mobile application development processes, tools, metrics, and testing frameworks; adopt what works; and change what doesn't 9. Evaluation and introduction of new technologies and development practices 10. Coordinate the activities of engineers, with those of other stakeholders 11. Lead, hire and manage talented engineers 12. Should be always ready to work as an individual contributor whenever required Requirements: 1. Minimum of 5 years of cross-platform engineering experience on android, ios, and backend 2. Minimum of 2 years in a leadership, mentor, or management role 3. Technical proficiency in iOS, Android, and backend stack, with demonstrated hands-on work experience. 4. Experience developing mobile native iOS, and Android applications, including building and managing APIs for native mobile apps 5. Experience developing, shipping, and supporting mobile SDKs consumed by external clients 6. Familiarity with common Quality Assurance and Quality Engineering practices 7. Experience working cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders 8. Demonstrated troubleshooting skills and resolved complex technical problems 9. Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex technical issues to a non-technical audience in a clear, concise, and effective manner 10.
