About the Role:

The Kalaari Fellowship is a two-year, full-time, paid, apprenticeship-style program that blends rigorous learning with hands-on experience. We created it to open doors to an industry that rarely opens them, and to develop the next generation of investment leaders.

Program Details:

- Program Duration: 2 years

- Program Model: Full time

- Location: Bangalore

- Monthly stipend: INR 18L p.a.

- Application close date: 27th September 2026

Selection Process:

- The selection process takes approximately 22 weeks across 4 stages: Application - Case Study Take-Home - Technical Interviews - Culture Round.

Fellow will get to work across:

- Research & Investment Analysis: Track emerging trends, build investment thesis, identify investment opportunities.

- Portfolio Support: Support portfolio companies through MIS analysis, market and competitive research, and strategic projects across key business initiatives.

- Marketing & Thought Leadership: Support deep sector research, reports, content, and events.

- Organization Building: Contribute to key firm-wide initiatives, supporting internal programs and helping drive operational excellence.

What We're Looking For:

- Candidates early in their professional journey, with a strong interest in startups and emerging technologies demonstrated through academic, professional, or personal pursuits.

- Ability to engage deeply with technology and a genuine curiosity, demonstrated through a technical degree, coursework, or personal and professional projects. Strong analytical ability, with a structured approach to complex problems and comfort with ambiguity.

- Initiative and persistence, with a track record of starting things, seeing them through, and going beyond what was asked of you.

- Learning orientation. You are comfortable picking up new tools, skills and domains quickly, and apply them to real work.

- A clear, structured communicator, with an ability to distill research and complex ideas into crisp insights, communicating across multiple stakeholders.

- Collaborative and adaptable, with the ability to work across multiple stakeholders and thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
