Manager - Project Management - Contract Development & Manufacturing Organization Project (8-14 yrs)
Role Overview:
The Manager Project Management will drive end-to-end execution of CDMO projects while supporting business growth through strong client engagement, commercial understanding, and cross-functional leadership.
The role requires a balance of project delivery excellence and business acumen in a dynamic, client-facing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple CDMO projects from initiation to commercialization, ensuring timelines, quality, and cost objectives are met.
- Act as a key interface for clients, driving client engagement, requirement understanding, and relationship management.
- Support business development initiatives by collaborating with sales teams, identifying opportunities, and contributing to proposals.
- Manage project lifecycle, product development, and commercialization activities in coordination with internal teams.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (R&D, Regulatory, Production, QA/QC, SCM) to ensure seamless execution.
- Contribute to market research, competitive intelligence, and pricing/contract discussions to support commercial decisions.
- Drive cost optimization, margin improvement, and profitability tracking across projects.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate production planning and inventory alignment for project deliverables.
- Present project updates to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
Key Requirements:
- Educational Qualification: B. Tech / M. Tech / M. Sc (Chemistry) / Pharmacy; MBA Mandatory.
- 8-12 years of experience in Project Management / Product Management / Business Development within CDMO / Pharma / Specialty Chemicals.
- Strong experience in client handling, account management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Proven track record in product lifecycle management, new product development, and commercialization.
- Exposure to market analysis, supplier/vendor coordination, and contract negotiations is preferred.
- Strong understanding of costing, pricing trends, and business profitability.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- PMP or equivalent certification is an added advantage.
