Assistant General Manager / Deputy General Manager - Taxation.

Location : Navi Mumbai (Seawoods) / Vijaynagar.

Purpose - Why does this role exist?

To execute the Indirect Taxation functioning of JSW Techno Projects Management Ltd and other group companies.

Key Result Areas (Key Performance Indicators).

- Providing with advice and guidance on tax planning and compliance matters related to Indirect taxes.

- Assistance to team for finalizing the tax computation and filing the returns.

- Litigation management handling departmental queries, audits, investigations.

- Providing replies to Show Cause notices, drafting of appeals, representing before the Appellate Commissioners, assisting advocates for finalization of WRITs, preparing briefs for Sr. Advocates etc.

- Liaising with Consultants and Advocates for addressing the indirect tax notices.

- Updating and Monitoring MIS for on-going indirect tax cases.

- Analyzing and interpreting tax laws and regulations, and keeping up-to-date with changes and developments in tax legislation.

- Providing support and guidance to junior team members on tax matters.

- Must have good drafting skills.

- Responsible for reviewing of GST Annual returns.

Critical Tasks

- Litigation management and addressing GST department notice.

- Exchange of data and information with other departments.

- Compliances of company's policies, procedures and Implementation in the system.

Educational Background and Work Experience

Chartered Accountant. /LLB with 7+ years of experience in relevant role.
