Job Summary :

- We are looking for an experienced and visionary Head of Vendor Management Logistics to lead and drive the end-to-end vendor management strategy within our logistics and supply chain functions.

- This senior leadership role will be responsible for building and sustaining a world-class vendor ecosystem that optimizes cost, quality, and service delivery while ensuring agility and scalability to support rapid business growth. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in logistics vendor partnerships, strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and cross-functional leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Vendor Management:

- Define and execute the overall vendor management strategy aligned with company business goals and operational priorities.

- Lead the selection, onboarding, and performance management of key logistics vendors including transportation- mid & last-mile delivery partners.

- Foster long-term strategic partnerships with vendors to drive innovation, continuous improvement, and competitive advantage.

Leadership & Team Management:

- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing vendor management team responsible for multiple vendor categories and regions.

- Collaborate closely with Logistics operations, Category, Supply & Finance leadership to align vendor strategies with overall business objectives.

Contracting & Negotiation:

- Lead complex negotiations on contracts, SLAs, and pricing to maximize value and mitigate risks.

- Establish comprehensive contractual frameworks, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and corporate governance standards.

Performance & Risk Management:

- Develop robust KPI frameworks to monitor and improve vendor performance in terms of cost, quality, delivery timelines, and compliance.

- Drive proactive risk assessment and mitigation plans including contingency planning for supply disruptions.

- Oversee vendor financial health assessment and ensure business continuity through diversified sourcing.

Cost Optimization & Process Excellence:

- Identify and implement innovative cost-saving initiatives and process improvements leveraging technology and analytics.

- Lead strategic initiatives to optimize the vendor ecosystem, reduce lead times, and enhance service quality across the logistics supply chain.

Stakeholder Management & Reporting:

- Serve as a key liaison between vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve escalations and enable seamless collaboration.

- Provide senior leadership with actionable insights and periodic reports on vendor performance, cost trends, and strategic opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. MBA preferred.

- 12+ years of progressive experience in vendor management, logistics, or supply chain roles with significant leadership responsibilities.

- Proven track record of managing large vendor portfolios and negotiating multi-crore contracts in logistics or transport sectors.

- Deep expertise in logistics operations, strategic sourcing, supplier performance management, and risk mitigation.

- Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams and driving organizational change.

- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, managing multiple priorities with a strategic mindset.
