Role Purpose

The EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) professional will be responsible for implementing and monitoring all Environmental, Health & Safety systems, statutory compliances, and safe manufacturing practices at the Hyderabad manufacturing plant. The role involves ensuring a zero-harm culture, compliance with regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement in workplace safety and environmental sustainability.

Key Responsibilities


Health & Safety


- Ensure implementation of EHS policies, SOPs, permit-to-work systems, and safe operating practices across the plant.

- Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, hazard identification, and risk assessments.

- Drive compliance with Factory Act, safety regulations, fire safety norms, and statutory requirements.

- Investigate incidents, near misses, unsafe acts/conditions, and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, mock drills, and employee awareness programs.

- Monitor PPE compliance and ensure proper usage across operations.

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to promote a proactive safety culture.

- Ensure contractor safety management and compliance during project and maintenance activities.

- Maintain records related to incidents, audits, safety observations, training, and compliance reports.

Environment Management

- Monitor waste management, hazardous waste disposal, air/water/noise pollution controls, and environmental compliance.

- Ensure adherence to Pollution Control Board norms and other environmental regulations.

- Support sustainability initiatives including energy conservation and resource optimization.

Occupational Health


- Coordinate periodic health check-ups and occupational health initiatives for employees.


- Ensure workplace ergonomics and industrial hygiene standards are maintained.


- Support emergency response preparedness and medical emergency handling.

Compliance & Documentation


- Liaise with government authorities, auditors, and external agencies for EHS-related matters.

- Support ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 implementation and audits.

- Prepare MIS reports, compliance dashboards, and management presentations.

- Ensure timely renewal of licenses, permits, and statutory records.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Bachelors degree in Engineering / Science with Diploma or Certification in Industrial Safety / EHS.

- 3-8 years of experience in EHS within manufacturing, heavy engineering, automotive, aerospace, defence, fabrication, or industrial operations.

- Strong knowledge of statutory safety and environmental regulations.

- Experience in handling audits, incident investigations, and shop-floor safety operations.

- Good communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.

- Familiarity with ISO standards and EHS management systems preferred.
