Jpan Tubular Components - Cost Accountant

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and controlling cost accounting activities, evaluating cost efficiencies, and supporting accurate financial planning. This role demands strong analytical abilities and a deep understanding of cost estimation, budgeting, and variance analysis within a manufacturing/production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

(a). Maintain and update cost accounting systems and cost sheets.

(b). Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, and overhead allocations.

(c). Prepare and evaluate standard costs with periodic updates based on raw materials and labor.

(d). Conduct variance analysis between actual costs and standard/budgeted costs and provide corrective action recommendations.

(e). Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities related to costing.

(f). Review cost center expenses and assist in cost reduction initiatives across departments.

(g). Prepare MIS reports, cost analysis reports, and profitability statements for management decision-making.

(h). Work cross-functionally with production, store, purchase, and finance teams to ensure cost accuracy.

(i). Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

(a). Bachelor's Degree in Commerce/Finance; preference for ICWA/CMA qualified or pursuing.

(b). 3-7 years of relevant experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing company.

(c). Strong knowledge of ERP systems, MS Excel, and cost accounting standards.

(d). Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
