The India Legal Entity Group Controller (LEC) has oversight responsibility for the integrity (completeness and accuracy) of financial statement/regulatory reporting information recorded in managed legal entities. This requires collaboration with the lines of business (business managers, product / business controllers) that have activity in that legal entity to ensure that legal entity implications (e.g., accounting policy, regulatory reporting, capital, etc.) of transactions are considered. The LEC is responsible for ensuring adequate capital ratios & other financial reporting ratios. Job Summary: As a senior Associate within the LEC team, you will be responsible for providing coverage to Bank Branch. The role involves maintenance of books of accounts under Local GAAP and US GAAP, Legal Entity reporting, India Reg reporting and US Reg and India Reg reporting, Control metrics reporting. The role is based in Mumbai. Job responsibilities: - Oversee Month end closing process in Indian GAAP and US GAAP. - Have knowledge regarding Regulatory reporting, Automation, change management, Capital adequacy and ICAAP. - Manage ALCO governance and control agenda for Bank Branch. - Review of new product launch from accounting, control and regulatory view point. - Ensure timely completion of Statutory audit. - Manage Legal entity strategy and Budgets for bank Branch and Capital planning. - Tax controls and coordination (Direct and Indirect Tax) Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills: - A recognized professional accounting qualification with 8-year experience in the banking industry preferably foreign bank - Possess strong process and control mindset and keen attention to detail. - Mature, independent, self-motivated, conscientious, able to work under pressure and drive changes. - Good Stakeholder Management skills - Strong communication, presentation, negotiation skills analytical and problem solving skills - Excellent skills in Microsoft applications - Positive attitude and a good team player - Ability to lead teams in Matrix organizations
