Job Responsibilities : The Retained Lending Controller team is seeking to hire highly motivated candidates to join the Lending product Controllers team based in Mumbai and work closely with all regional product controllers to carry out control function and perform Internal & External reporting activities. Roles includes below functions: - Lead and manage the preparation and review of all Regulatory reporting requirement impacting lending business. - Responsible for the compilation of financial statements, footnotes, management's discussion and analysis and all other components of the filings. - Ensure internal control procures are in place and maintain SOX compliance. - Ensure financial information is in compliance with US & local GAAP and firm's corporate accounting policies, documenting exceptions where appropriate. - Act as a resource to project management & the businesses for various projects / business initiatives. - Identify and drive targeted reviews for specific products/process based on both quantitative and qualitative factors and risks. - The individual is also expected to be well versed with the key deliverables, provide day to day direction to the team locally and directly responsible for the deliverables to the stakeholders. - Handle people management responsibilities which includes management of work planning, Resource utilization and individual development and growth of team members. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills : - Qualified accountant preferably with 12-15 years' experience within the Financial Services industry with External reporting and controller experience. - Excellent communication skills and executive presence including the ability to present complex and sensitive matters to Senior management, Product Managers & Business Managers across levels. - Managing people or teams in a matrix organization with proven success contributing to complex, large scale initiatives - Ability to manage several projects and reporting requirements concurrently - Ability to evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal controls - Proven skills in identifying and resolving control issues that may impact financial results - Team Leader and ability to work closely with global team members and other groups in the organization. Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills : - Good knowledge of Lending and Trade Finance products & SAP ledger system is preferred - Ability to work in a matrix organization with limited local oversight ensuring timely escalation & resolution of issues - Strong interpersonal, communication and team-building skills - Analytical mind-set, structure approach, attention to detail and accuracy.
