Fund transfer requests/payments - Team Leader Description: - EMEA Cheque Operations is responsible for completing fund transfer requests/payments received from our clients. Transaction requests are received via Cheques. - As a Team Leader, you will be directly responsible for the day to day operations, including cheques processing - payments and receivable, client service & and database controls. - You will be responsible for understanding the key metrics and risk components and support the operations lead to meet the financial goals and objectives put forth by the LOB, while partnering globally with the regions where the business operations are located. Job Responsibilities: - Ensure to monitor the cheques and handle the processing either maker, checker or authorizer of the cheques received from Partner Bank. - Ensure that cheques are completed accurately and that high value, urgent cheques are prioritized. - Complete accurately the tasks assigned for the process within the cut-off time. - Ensure that the checklist is followed, and queue is monitored at all times. - Monitor and respond to email correspondence from In-country and both internal and external clients. - Assist in issue resolution and providing incident report in case of errors. - Escalate issues as soon as identified to management along with stakeholders. - Should be flexible in Shift Timings as per the requirement. - Complete all mandatory trainings assigned prior to set due date. - Perform product verification tests (PVTs) on the system as and when required. - Provide process improvements to enhance the system and participate in projects call as and when needed. - Deliver on reports and administrative tasks assigned. Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities: - Has at least 5+ years Cash Operations/Product experience with a Bank/GCC. Candidates with exposure to EMEA market would be preferred. - Understanding of cheques presentment flow and experience in payment, cheque, clearing, Nostro recon etc. - Client focus minded - Knowledge of various aspects of International cheque and payments processing Operations. - Working/Expert Knowledge of Cheque & international payment conventions & practices is a must. - Excellent communication and presentations skills across various stakeholders and senior management - Intermediate/Advanced experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint - Excellent analytical and logical thinking to understand and analyze complex business processes - Strong organizational and prioritization skills, detail-oriented, and strong interpersonal skills - Fluent written and oral communication skills in English; local language is added advantage About Us: JPMorgan Chase & Co., one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world's most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
