Job Summary:

As an Executive Director, Currencies and Emerging Markets Operations in Mumbai, you lead a team responsible for managing operations across FX, FX Options, Interest Rate Derivatives, and Bullion.


You partner closely with global leaders to ensure robust controls and drive strategic initiatives. You provide senior oversight on projects and operational processes, fostering efficiency and innovation. You play a key role in responding to market events and supporting business growth. Your leadership empowers us to deliver exceptional service and results.

Job Responsibilities:

- Manage Currencies and Emerging Markets Operations functions in Mumbai

- Oversee day-to-day processes and provide feedback, performance reviews, and development opportunities

- Investigate trade break queries and analyze trade bookings, recaps, and amendments

- Collaborate with Front Office to assess profit and loss impact

- Perform control functions to ensure trade values align with risk and downstream applications

- Ensure timely and accurate issuance of confirmation documents to clients

- Partner with Change Management teams to drive strategic reengineering projects

- Lead firm-wide and industry projects, including regulatory adoption and technology initiatives

- Review key metrics to measure controls, workflow capacity, and team efficiency

- Generate efficiencies by improving processes and increasing capacity

- Foster strong working relationships across global cross-functional teams

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

- Minimum 10 years in an operations role (middle office or back office)

- Deep product knowledge and understanding of transaction cycles for FX, FX Options, Rates derivatives, and Bullion

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Experience building relationships across global teams, including Front Office

- Ability to drive results through direct engagement

- Experience managing teams with diverse skills and backgrounds

- Skilled in recruiting, coaching, mentoring, and developing team members

- Effective in dynamic environments with tight deadlines

- Ability to work independently and as part of a global team

- Strong control mindset to identify and mitigate operational risk

- Analytical skills and high attention to detail

- Experience partnering on projects, efficiency, and business change

- Ability to negotiate and influence at multiple levels

- Experience managing internal clients and stakeholders
