Executive Director - Technical Program Management (Sales CDO) Description : We are recruiting for Technical Program Manager (TPM) in CIB Sales Chief Data officer (CDO) group. Client management is an integral part of the role this role. You will be responsible for delivering large scale complex program end-to-end. This includes project governance, driving project schedules from design to final production launch, managing user groups and communicating status and risk mitigation. You will be expected to make appropriate tradeoffs to accelerate time-to-market, clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to multi-disciplinary and cross-functional and remote project teams. The right candidate will possess a strong program management background, will have demonstrated experience leading medium to large projects, and will have a well-rounded technical background in current web technologies. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment and able to navigate through ambiguity or competing priorities. As a TPM, you will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate, and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner is expected. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications : Responsibilities : - Develop long-term strategies for products and translating them into an achievable roadmap - Manage budget allocations and large scale complex programs and working closely with technology team to build state-of-the-art solutions - Interact with Project Sponsors, Project Stakeholders and multiple business and technical teams to define and deliver complex features. - Anticipate bottlenecks and risks, provide escalation management, anticipate, and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints - Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities. - Create, maintain, and provide timely project information to stakeholders. - Communicate project issues and status in a concise, accurate, and professional manner and the mitigation plan/strategies - Strong experience and leadership in technology modernization strategy, contemporary practices, patterns, and tooling, including, but not limited to Cloud computing. - Should have devised/executed large distributed system, fault-tolerant, highly scalable databases, and refactoring in accordance with cloud native principals. - Experience of managing business stakeholders and leading a global distributed team. - Engage effectively with Product managers and Sales business on an ongoing basis and driving the vision & strategy. - Strong written and oral communication skills, an ability to demonstrate analytical thinking and problem-solving skills and an excellent work ethics. - Define and design business functionality based on an understanding of product strategy, operational, infrastructural, regulatory and market needs. - Experience of managing high caliber geographically distributed teams and serve as a role model, providing technical leadership and mentorship. - Given global remit it will require working across multiple work streams and teams, flexibility to work with users across different time zones (when required) and within rigid timelines. Preferred Qualifications : - 15+ Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules - 7+ years of relevant engineering experience and technical program management experience - Computer Science (or Equivalent) degree with at least 5+ years of experience in a software engineering role and have experience of building scalable multi-tiered solutions. - Domain knowledge in the financial services space - Experience of driving Customer/Client Segmentation and personalization strategy for a large scale enterprise with KPI and delivered strong and tangible business benefits - Strong familiarity with Agile methodologies with product-oriented mindset. - Seasoned program manager with 5+ years of experience managing technology projects with aggressive timelines. Experience in managing business and technical partnerships.
