About the Team: - The CCB Auto Finance group supports the Auto Chief Financial Officer and the Consumer and Community Bank (CCB) Planning & Analysis organization and Production Business Finance Teams. The group partners with senior Finance leaders and their teams across the Auto business and serves as an analytical and reporting resource to help leaders understand and manage all financial aspects of the business. - The Auto F&BM team provides real-time insights to sales leadership on volume & profitability and does so at a national, divisional, regional, market & employee level. The team understands all revenue and expense streams and is able to speak to detailed P&L activity while also being able to simplify the P&L story for a non-finance audience. - The team has a strong understanding of key business drivers, including hiring, sales productivity, compensation practices, budget/forecast, target setting, sales conversion, customer satisfaction, competitive landscape, pricing, and ad hoc requests. The team is able to translate detailed understanding of each of these topics into easily consumed, actionable, fact-based analysis. About the Role: Roles & Responsibilities (Customized for the job posted): - Financial Analysis is responsible for partnering across the firm to provide financial and strategic analysis, oversight, and coordination of budgeting and forecasting. Our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) teams are responsible for a wide range of activities including financial control, forecasting, and budgeting, analysis of financial/business metrics, delivery of weekly/monthly/quarterly management reporting, development of new reporting capabilities (e.g., dashboards), and advising the line of business CFOs on how to increase profitability and efficiencies. - Managing annual/continual financial planning activities for product areas, providing business rational and decisions for all month-end financial performance and forecasting, conducting reviews and analysis on product financial performance, consumption/demand planning, budgeting, billing, trends, and exception reports - Develop recommendations effecting business procedures and operations and maintain financial and reporting systems. - Efficiency reporting, analytics, and strategy - including, but not limited to - location strategy, span of control, reporting and analytics - Creating financial business cases supporting business initiatives - Reporting on and monitoring key metrics, driving data quality initiatives across the product area, and helping define future needs of the product area - Developing and tracking performance metrics, creating presentations, and generally providing financial analysis on a variety of topics to senior management - Helping design new reports and dashboards to efficiently deliver the financial results to senior management - Enhancing controls and streamlining processes, introducing automation where possible - Prepare insightful, high quality Senior Management presentations - Prepare analytical insights by partner reports - Prepare Customer Penetration Metrics - Support ad hoc requests from the Business and Senior Management - Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly reports as required - Knowledge of Essbase, MS Access, VBA, SAP, etc is added advantage - Ensure that reports are insightful and contain commentary on key movements and watch items.
