About the Team : At JPMorgan Chase, Commercial Banking ("CB") is a top provider of banking services to wholesale clients from small businesses to large, complex businesses with domestic and international needs. CB is comprised of Corporate Client Banking & Specialized Industries (CCBSI), Middle Market Banking & Specialized Industries (MMBSI), Real Estate Banking, Commercial Term Lending and Community Development Banking. Commercial Banking is making significant investments across our business to improve how we interact with our clients in every way. The Data Engineering Analyst will join the CB Global Finance and Business Management organization, assisting data analytics team agenda. The candidate will learn core business processes, build new ML capabilities, develop and deploy ML Models for metrics/management reporting, and provide decision support. In particular, the CB Global Services team functions as an internal business & metrics reporting and analytics group responsible for delivering highly quantitative and qualitative reports and analytics tools that support bankers, salespeople, and senior management agendas. The Data Engineering Analyst on the team will have the opportunity to work on high-impact initiatives that help drive profitability and efficiency across the Commercial Banking organization. The Data Engineering Analyst will be responsible for assisting the business in ongoing development, deployment and maintenance of ML models. About the Role : Primary Responsibilities: - This role will work extensively with team data scientists to document and deploy models and will also interact heavily with external Model Ops teams to get models approved and deployed per JP Morgan Chase policies and regulations - Partner with senior leaders in advancing the business analytics agenda, focused on insights delivery in areas around operational efficiency, cost modeling, capacity planning, quality enhancements, etc. - Define, design, and drive high priority strategic initiatives with senior level visibility in areas above - ranging from delivering business initiatives to engineering enabling capabilities - Develop a deep understanding of systems and processes in order to extract insights from existing data while identifying and recommending IT enhancements to improve data quality - Develop strong partnerships with IT application owners and data management teams to align on a roadmap for continual improvement while providing support around in-flight projects Desired Candidate Profile : - 3 to 5 years of experience, preferably in financial services or commercial banking - Ability to understand business problems/processes and design solutions/methodologies that are rooted in data - Bachelor's / master's in economics, Econometrics, Statistics, Engineering - Strong Python experience - Exposure in Cloud computing platforms like: AWS - AWS Sagemaker experience - Experience with Airflow and DAG development - Data querying techniques. (SQL, Hadoop, HIVE, AWS) - Experience in Atlassian tools - JIRA and Confluence - Proven record to learn new Capability and Technologies given evolving nature of the job - Setting up pipelines and Deploying models - Deliver data insights, business value and recommend next steps to senior stakeholders - Effectively communicate insights/recommendations (verbal and written) - Exposure and experience with designing and building machine learning algorithms - Team player with a demonstrated strong work ethic.
