- As a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst within the CBB Finance team in Bengaluru, you will support the Consumer and Business Banking segment by offering financial analysis and reporting. You will be responsible for supporting month-end closures, forecasting, and budgeting processes for Occupancy expenses, interacting with stakeholders to ensure accurate bookings, and providing insights on expense trends.
- You will also engage in portfolio analysis, identify risks and opportunities, and deliver ad hoc analysis for senior management. Your role will involve regular interaction with real estate stakeholders and collaboration with Accounting, Controllers, and other business partners.
Job Responsibilities
- Support month-end closures, forecasting, and budgeting processes for Occupancy expense.
- Facilitate month-end closure by interacting with stakeholders and ensuring all entries are accurately booked.
- Perform monthly adjustments to forecasts based on actuals and known business scenarios.
- Provide meaningful insights on expense trends and explain business drivers in monthly actuals walk-throughs.
- Develop strong business understanding and support the team with standard reporting, cost center hierarchy maintenance, and project initiatives.
- Ensure all internal reporting is continuously updated with branch planning decisions.
- Support portfolio analysis of buildings for actuals, forecasts, and budgets; investigate key drivers of variance at the building level on an ongoing basis.
- Identify and measure risks and opportunities in building-level forecasts and budgets regularly.
- Engage in regular interaction with real estate stakeholders to investigate variances, risks, and opportunities to drive forecast accuracy.
- Deliver ad hoc expense analysis for senior management, providing meaningful insights.
- Drive conversations with Accounting, Controllers, and other business partners to explain expense drivers.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Qualified CA/CMA/MBA or equivalent degree in Accounts & Finance
- Need to have good knowledge of accounting terms and concepts
- Minimum 2 + years of experience primarily in Financial Planning & Analysis role
- Strong communication skill needed as role involves interacting with various stakeholders
- Good excel and presentation skills needed
- Good analytical thinking and an eye to business insights needed
