Business Systems Analyst II Description : - Correction analytics team deals with break across Chase bank relating to product as Credit Cards, Consumer and Business banking, Auto Finance and Merchant services. - These breaks can present complex, multilayered, and data intensive business problems. Typically these problems will be of an unstructured nature, whereby the CA will be expected to quickly assess and comprehend the situation, and develop a practical approach/strategy to the analysis. - Activities include (but are not be limited to), identifying impacted populations based on defined Business problem, calculating often complex financial impact. Financial impact are the amount which the customer should not have been charged o the customer should have received from chase. - Should be able to follow the process of recalculation interest charges over a period time, recalculation total refund amount (Refund +Interest) based on exclusion of specific charges, and determining if fees applied would not have otherwise been billed. - This role requires extensive interaction with business stakeholders, Project Managers and Business analyst. The candidate have to possess strong problem solving and reasoning skills as the business problem sometime is not clear or very straight forward. In-depth understanding of banking product is good to have. - The role will offer you an opportunity to dig deeper and enhance your banking product understanding and knowledge about day to day working knowledge of sub-products of the same like, Credit card pricing strategy, Credit card acquisition process, ATM process, Business lending product, Auto lending etc. Skills : - Expertise and practical work experience in SQL and SAS - Hands on experience on SAS and SQL is a must as individual will have to work on active correction cases. - Individual will have to contribute 40% of time on hands on work with correction cases. - Proficiency with standard MS Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.) - Elevated proficiency in MS Excel - Ability to independently do root cause analysis independently. - Understanding of the data infrastructure in a Financial Services organization - Ability to quickly self-learn different business and execute analytics projects for new lines of business - Experience in partner management - Experience in conflict management - Understanding business problem and should be able to work out analytical solutions - Must be detailed and quality assurance oriented - Must possess strong process adherence discipline - Throughout the life cycle of a project, specific process control procedures and documentation must be followed and completed by the DA. - Must possess good verbal and written communication skills People Skills : - Coach, mentor, and develop people, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities. - Consciously create a workplace culture that is consistent with the overall organizations and that emphasizes the identified mission, vision, guiding principles, and values of the organization. - Lead employees using a performance management and development process that provides an overall context and framework to encourage employee contribution and includes goal setting, feedback, and performance development planning. - Lead employees to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, continuous improvement, and goal accomplishment. - Provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards, and disciplinary action, with the assistance of Human Resources, when necessary. - Maintain employee work schedules including assignments, job rotation, training, vacations, and paid time off, telecommuting, cover for absenteeism, and overtime scheduling. - Plan and allocate resources to effectively staff and accomplish the work to meet departmental productivity and quality goals. - Plan, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of business processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality, efficiency, and output. Qualifications : - Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business or Master's degree in any of the Quantitative disciplines is preferred. - A minimum of four years of responsible leadership experience in management or supervisory positions. - Understanding on banking product. - Specialized training in managing human resources, preferred.
