What is the Role? The DataOps group are responsible for designing processes and pipelines, the operation of data management tooling and providing specialist technical content support to internal and external users. In reality we are responsible for both the availability, quality and content structure of all data assets that flow through the services we license to our clients. Our goal is to provide consistent, well described data of the highest quality across distribution channels and user tools through the following pillars: - Onboarding: Support content owners to adopt our data ingestion and source monitoring framework. Partner with source owners to conform data to common standards. Design downstream processes to support data idiosyncrasies and distribution channel dependencies. Partner with core engineering groups to implement and enhance processes throughout the SDLC. - Governance: Assist in the acquisition of new content and establish connections to contribute data assets to centralized inventories. Develop data monitoring frameworks to alert of data issues before they arise. Define comprehensive KPIs that enable data quality to be tracked and benchmarked across data sources. - Modelling: Architect data pipelines, design enrichment processes and define canonical data models that enable ubiquitous data unification across the data asset universe. Partner with stakeholders to enhance classification standards, conventions and data relationships as new markets, products and data domains emerge. - Development: Develop conceptual data prototypes that exemplify the use of modern technologies to deliver new functional data capabilities. Support the development of data stores that drive our data ecosystem, distribution channels and client facing API services. Collaborate with the core engineering group to industrialize solutions and contribute to the core codebase. What will you do ? - JPM Digital is expanding to hire a data specialist with demonstrated experience in financial markets and content management - Develop data pipelines that aggregate, enrich, normalize and master data across all traditional/non-traditional financial domains - Design service frameworks that enable scalable data ingestion, identity resolution and taxonomy classification administration - Perform data due-diligence, capture lineage information and implement technical process to automate meta-data generation - Administer Data Governance controls using a centralized governance framework. Thoroughly investigate and resolve exceptions - Partner with the org to generate new datasets, build pipelines to sculpt content and implement commercial support processes - Design services that allow discovery, navigation and selection functionality across virtual and physical data sources - Implement components, schemes and system - hooks- to capture, model and persist data metrics across the data product suites - Critically analyze metrics to identify opportunities to build automated feedback loops and new feature enhancements - Document new requirements and manage key projects/dependencies across groups. Execute mission critical business objectives Who you are? - We are seeking a talented Data Specialist with strong data management experience and proven ETL development skills - Strong cross-functional experience in data management, on-boarding, governance and attribution of large data sets - You must have practical experience working with Fixed Income products and security level analytics - You should have experience producing interactive graphics; HTML, CSS and Javascript must (Highcharts and D3 a big plus) Qualifications - B.Tech or M.Tech in Comp. Sc. or Mathematics &amp; Statistics from IITs or equivalent universities - 2-3 yrs experience in Financial Markets technology (pre or post trade) and financial data domains (market, static, ref data etc) - 2-3 yrs experience working with data technologies; Hadoop Ecosystem, Databases (SQL/NoSQL), Python (must) and Javascript - 2-3 yrs experience working with data wrangling and visualizations technologies; Alteryx, Pentaho, Tableau, Qlik, Pivotal
