Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Current Account Team Leader to oversee and guide a team of Relationship Managers handling the bank's Current Account portfolio.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership capabilities, in-depth knowledge of current account products and services, and a track record of driving customer acquisition, deepening relationships, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of Current Account Relationship Managers.
- Set performance goals, conduct regular reviews, and ensure the team achieves business targets (acquisition, activation, balance growth).
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and support to enhance team productivity and customer engagement.
Business Development & Portfolio Management:
- Drive acquisition of new current account customers through both direct efforts and team performance.
- Ensure effective management of the existing CA portfolio with a focus on customer retention, cross-selling, and revenue generation.
- Monitor and analyze portfolio performance metrics, suggesting improvements and corrective actions as needed.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Support Relationship Managers in managing key client relationships.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining service standards and resolving escalations effectively.
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate banking products and services.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure team adherence to internal policies, audit guidelines, and regulatory norms.
- Monitor accounts to mitigate risk and ensure documentation and KYC compliance.
Reporting & Coordination:
- Prepare regular performance and MIS reports for senior management.
- Coordinate with product, operations, and other support teams to deliver seamless service and product implementation.
Key Requirements:
- Education: Graduate/Postgraduate in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in banking, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role managing Current Accounts.
- Strong knowledge of current account products, trade and CMS solutions, and banking regulations.
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and drive results in a target-oriented environment
