Job Description - Corporate Technical Trainer (Lift / Elevator Industry)

Johnson Lifts is seeking an experienced Corporate Technical Trainer to lead the implementation of high-quality technical and safety training programs across the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building technical competency, improving field readiness, and enhancing service excellence through structured learning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Technical & Safety Training Delivery

- Conduct structured technical, operational, and safety training for service, installation, and technical teams.

- Facilitate classroom sessions, hands-on practical demonstrations, and field-based learning programs.

- Ensure learning outcomes are aligned with industry standards and internal quality expectations.

2. Training Content Development

- Design and continuously enhance training modules, manuals, and assessment tools.

- Customize training programs based on participant skill levels and technical specialization.

- Integrate new technologies, product updates, and safety protocols into the curriculum.

3. Skill Gap Assessment & Competency Building

- Identify technical skill gaps through evaluations, field feedback, and performance metrics.

- Develop structured learning roadmaps for technicians, engineers, and service staff.

- Recommend individual improvement plans based on trainee assessments.

4. Post-Training Effectiveness & Documentation

- Develop and implement strong post-training effectiveness measurement systems.

- Maintain training attendance logs, evaluation scores, and competency matrices.

- Track progress, certify trainees, and share insights with operational leadership.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Work closely with Service, Installation, Quality, and Technical Support teams to ensure training is fully aligned with operational requirements.

- Participate in audits, field visits, and quality reviews to improve real-world training relevance.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

- Minimum 10 years of experience in the Lift / Elevator industry (Service, Installation, Troubleshooting, or Technical Support).

- Minimum 3 years of experience in Technical Training, Skill Development, or Corporate Training.

- Strong knowledge of elevator systems: components, wiring diagrams, maintenance practices, and safety protocols.

- Excellent presentation, communication, and facilitation skills.

- Strong passion for capability building and developing technical talent.

- Fluent in English, Tamil, and Hindi (preferred).

- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
