Role Overview:

As a Senior Investment Banking Analyst at Jean Martin Inc., based in Mumbai/Chennai, you will play a critical role in supporting senior bankers in executing transactions and developing client relationships. You will be responsible for conducting in-depth financial analysis, building complex financial models, and preparing presentation materials for client meetings. This role involves working closely with deal teams, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of transactions, contributing directly to the firm's growth and reputation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including valuation, discounted cash flow analysis, and comparable company analysis, to support M&A and capital raising transactions.

- Develop and maintain complex financial models to project financial performance, assess transaction feasibility, and evaluate potential investment opportunities.

- Prepare pitch books, presentations, and other marketing materials for client meetings and deal pitches, showcasing the firm's expertise and capabilities.

- Perform due diligence on target companies, including reviewing financial statements, conducting industry research, and analyzing market trends, to identify potential risks and opportunities.

- Assist in the execution of transactions, including managing data rooms, coordinating with legal counsel, and preparing closing documents, to ensure smooth and efficient deal processes.

- Monitor industry trends and market developments to identify potential deal opportunities and provide insights to senior bankers.

- Support senior bankers in building and maintaining client relationships through regular communication and proactive engagement.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to perform rigorous financial analysis, including valuation, financial modeling, and sensitivity analysis.

- Proven expertise in accounting principles and financial statement analysis.

- Strong understanding of equity research methodologies and investment banking principles.

- Proficiency in using financial databases such as Bloomberg Terminal and Pitchbook.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.

- Experience in M&A transaction execution and credit analysis.

- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

- 3-5 years of relevant experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, or a related field.
