We are looking out for an Associate - IB/PE to join our expanding Financial Research team in Mumbai/Chennai/Gurgaon/Jaipur. The role will have exposure to a broad spectrum of work across public and private equity investment processes. At Jean Martin, you will have a unique opportunity to work on qualitative and quantitative research using new-age data science tools that forms the DNA of our company.

The candidate will be working in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment, catering to the research needs of investment banks, private equity funds, hedge funds, venture capitalists, etc. The Candidate should possess strong analytical and communication skills, strong work ethics, be self-driven, and work fairly independently.

Location: Mumbai/Chennai/Gurgaon/Jaipur

Responsibilities:

- Lead multiple projects & team members and take end-to-end responsibility for the delivery of project work streams.

- Work in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and often multi-directional work environment

- Manage client relationship, build business and communicate with portfolio managers/investment bankers on live deals.

- Exercise subject matter expertise & guide a team of analysts to:

- Conduct in-depth industry and company research to generate insights and investment opportunities.

- Prepare robust financial and valuation models for public and private equity investments (M&A, LBO, etc.)

- Write qualitative research reports on company and industry including thematic notes, company initiation notes, earnings notes, and events-based notes.

- Prepare deal pitch-books, preparing stock screening based on quantitative and qualitative metrics, credit analysis, ad hoc industry studies, risk analysis, ESG analysis, etc.

Requirements:

Education: MBA/CA/CFA

Experience: 5-8 years

- Team Management

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

- Well-developed commercial attitude and client marketing/relationship management skills

- Excellent modeling skills are required as well as a solid grounding in accounting/financial fundamentals.
