M&A Advisory (Tokyo, Japan) Senior Associate (English-Speaking India Experience Welcome)

About Us:

Japan Corporate Advisory Institute, Ltd. (JCAI) is expanding its Cross Border M&A Advisory team. We are seeking motivated professionals with relevant experience in India coverage to join our Investment Banking (M&A / Private Equity) practice in Tokyo, Japan.

Qualifications:

- MBA from a Tier 1 institute and/ CA / CPA / USCPA / CFA

- 3 TO 5 years of relevant work experience focused on India coverage

- Willingness to relocate to Tokyo, Japan (for overseas candidates)

- Strong foundation in corporate finance

- Experience in preparing financial models, information memorandums, trading and transaction comparables, and financial statement analysis

- Ability to manage due diligence processes and support negotiations

- Excellent presentation and communication skills

Must Have Experience:

- Minimum 3 years as lead advisor in cross border M&A at an advisory firm, financial institution, or equivalent role

- Advanced English proficiency

- Demonstrated project ownership and team skills

- Ability to thrive in multicultural and multidisciplinary environments

Preferred (Nice to Have) Skills:

- Prior exposure to cross border transactions

- Japanese language proficiency

- High attention to detail and ability to multitask

Role & Responsibilities:

- Act as a key member of the investment banking team, contributing to cross border M&A transactions

- Develop international standard financial models and conduct business valuations and investment analysis

- Prepare pitches, investment memorandums and research reports

- Participate in the full M&A cycle: pitching, financial modeling, business planning, IM preparation, term sheet drafting and transaction documentation
