Business Head
Description:
Experience:
- 15 to 20+ years of progressive leadership experience in Sales, Business Development, or General Management roles, preferably in consumer brands, home furnishing, lifestyle, retail, or design-led organizations.
- Proven experience of leading large, multi-channel businesses across India.
Role Purpose
- The India Business Head will be responsible for leading and scaling Jaipur Rugs India business across channels, regions, and customer segments.
- This role will drive revenue growth, market expansion, brand presence, and profitability, while staying deeply aligned with Jaipur Rugs purpose-driven, artisan-first philosophy.
- The role requires a strategic leader who can balance business growth with craftsmanship, culture, and values, and who can translate Jaipur Rugs global brand equity into a strong and sustainable India market presence.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Strategy & Growth:
- Define and execute the India business strategy aligned with overall organizational vision and global objectives.
- Drive sustainable top-line and bottom-line growth across all India channels.
- Identify new growth opportunities, customer segments, cities, and formats.
Sales & Channel Leadership:
- Lead India sales across retail stores, franchise partners, trade/B2B, institutional, and digital channels.
- Strengthen channel performance through clear targets, governance, and execution discipline.
- Build and manage strong relationships with key customers, partners, architects, designers, and influencers.
P&L Ownership:
- Own full P&L responsibility for the India business.
- Drive pricing strategy, margin optimization, cost control, and working capital efficiency.
- Ensure robust forecasting, budgeting, and performance reviews.
Brand & Customer Experience:
- Strengthen Jaipur Rugs brand positioning and visibility in the India market.
- Ensure consistent, premium customer experience across all touchpoints.
- Work closely with Marketing, Design, and Communications teams to drive brand-led growth.
Retail Expansion & Market Presence:
- Lead store expansion strategy, including company-owned and franchise models.
- Evaluate new city launches, showroom formats, and experiential retail concepts.
- Ensure operational excellence and profitability of existing and new stores.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Work closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Product Development, and Operations teams to ensure demandsupply alignment.
- Collaborate with HR to build strong sales capability, leadership pipeline, and performance culture.
- Partner with Finance, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure governance and risk management.
Team Leadership & Culture:
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing regional and functional teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, empathy, and purpose.
- Act as a role model for Jaipur Rugs values and leadership behaviors.
Market Intelligence & Innovation:
- Track market trends, competition, customer insights, and emerging formats.
- Drive innovation in go-to-market strategies, partnerships, and customer engagement.
