We are looking for a Vice President Finance to build and lead the company's financial, accounting, legal, governance and investor relations functions while partnering closely with the CEO and Board to drive the next phase of growth.

THE ROLE

Key Responsibility #1:

Own Company's end-to-end finance strategy, accounting, compliance, treasury, and financial operations across multiple international entities.

Key Responsibility #2:

Lead fundraising, investor relations, legal governance, banking, and finance team scaling while partnering closely with the CEO and Board.

Financial Strategy & Leadership:

- Own company's financial strategy, annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning

- Build and maintain multi-entity, multi-country financial models covering hardware, software, and services businesses

- Provide the CEO and Board with financial insights, unit economics, profitability analysis, and cash runway visibility

- Drive capital efficiency, margin improvement, and working capital optimization

Accounting, Controls & Compliance:

- Own end-to-end accounting operations across Singapore, India, Australia, and other operating entities

- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes

- Lead statutory audits, tax filings, GST/VAT compliance, transfer pricing, and regulatory compliance across jurisdictions

- Establish and strengthen internal financial controls, approval matrices, governance policies, and finance SOPs

- Oversee accounting systems, reporting automation, and finance process improvements

Legal & Corporate Governance:

- Act as the internal owner for all legal and corporate governance matters while coordinating with external legal counsels

- Manage shareholder agreements, ESOP administration, vesting schedules, and clawback mechanisms

- Review and oversee customer contracts, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), commercial agreements, and contract negotiations

- Manage vendor, supplier, and strategic partner agreements

- Ensure compliance with Companies Act requirements, board governance standards, statutory filings, and cross-border regulations

- Support Board meetings, resolutions, cap table management, and corporate governance activities

Fundraising & Investor Relations:

- Lead financial preparation for Series-B fundraising and future capital raises

- Own investor data rooms, financial models, projections, valuation scenarios, and sensitivity analyses

- Coordinate financial, legal, tax, and commercial due diligence processes

- Partner closely with the CEO on investor discussions, fundraising strategy, and term sheet negotiations

- Manage cap tables, equity dilution planning, and investor reporting

- Serve as the primary finance contact for existing investors, venture capital firms, and strategic partners

Banking, Treasury & Risk Management:

- Build and manage relationships with banks, lenders, and financial institutions

- Structure and negotiate working capital facilities, bank guarantees, trade finance, letters of credit, and foreign exchange hedging arrangements

- Own treasury operations, liquidity planning, cash management, and financial risk mitigation

- Monitor foreign currency exposure across multiple international operations

Team Building & Process Scaling:

- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance and accounting organization

- Develop finance managers and regional finance teams across multiple countries

- Implement scalable finance processes capable of supporting enterprise customers and global audits

- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Product, and Leadership teams to enable business growth

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

- 10 - 15+ years of experience in finance leadership roles, preferably in:

1. VC-backed startups

2. Hardware + SaaS / deep-tech / industrial companies

- Proven experience owning:

1. Company-wide finance and accounting

2. Multi-entity, multi-country operations

3. Fundraising and investor interactions

- Strong understanding of:

1. Revenue recognition for hardware, software, and services

2. Working capitalheavy businesses

3. Cross-border taxation and compliance

- Prior experience with Series-A / Series-B fundraising

- Exposure to manufacturing, robotics, or industrial automation

- Experience setting up ESOPs, share buy-backs, and vesting frameworks

- CA / CPA / CFA or equivalent qualification
