SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER:

POSITION DESCRIPTION
- Should have 10 to 17 yrs of experience with minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Project
Management.
- Should have worked on SaaS Product Implementations.
- Should be very strong in Project Management.
- Career progression should be that of a Developer, Tech lead / Business Analyst and then into Project Management (Technology is not a constraint).
- Should be hands on with an eye for detail and tight control across parallel multiple work-streams.
- Should have done three product implementations at least (full cycle) preferably working with FMCG customers and good understanding of the CPG domain.
- Should have handled large projects (more than $5 million in revenue) with a good understanding for project financials driving profitability, revenue recognition.
- Should have excellent client management skills and communication skills.
- Should drive the project and program SteerCos with high impact presentations.
- Extensive experience creating WBS and breaking down the activities.
- Should be analytical with ability to get insights from project data and manage using data, identify early warnings and take proactive actions.
- Ability to liaison with internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivery timelines are adhered.
- Tight control on RAG (Red Amber Green) status for all line items in delivery.
- Proactively identify risks / issues at program level, mitigate them proactively with right interventions at the right time.
- Experience in Project management and tracking tools (JIRA, Confluence, MPP).
- Demonstrate stewardship and operate with a value creation and continuous improvement mindset delivering desired outcomes for the firm and the customer.
Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership and Management: Lead and manage multiple complex SaaS product implementation projects concurrently, ensuring on-time, within-budget, and high-quality delivery.
- SaaS Implementation Expertise: Leverage your proven experience in implementing SaaS solutions, understanding the nuances and best practices associated with cloud-based deployments.
- FMCG/CPG Domain Acumen: Apply your understanding of the FMCG/CPG industry to effectively manage project requirements, anticipate client needs, and ensure the implemented solution aligns with their business objectives.
- Full Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee the complete project lifecycle, including initiation,
planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, and closure.
- Financial Management: Take ownership of project financials, including driving profitability, managing revenue recognition, and ensuring adherence to budget. Experience managing large projects with revenues exceeding $5 million is highly desirable.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with key client stakeholders. Effectively drive project and program SteerCo meetings with impactful presentations, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
- Work Breakdown Structure (WBS): Develop comprehensive Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) to effectively break down project activities into manageable tasks.
- Analytical Insights and Data-Driven Management: Demonstrate strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from project data. Utilize data to proactively manage projects, identify early warnings, and implement timely corrective actions.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Effectively liaise with both internal (e.g., development, sales, support) and external stakeholders (client teams, third-party vendors) to ensure seamless collaboration and adherence to delivery timelines.
- RAG Status Management: Maintain tight control over the Red, Amber, Green (RAG) status for all project deliverables and activities, providing clear visibility into project health.
- Risk and Issue Management: Proactively identify potential risks and issues at the program level.
- Develop and implement effective mitigation strategies and interventions to prevent or minimize their impact.
- Project Management Tool Proficiency: Utilize project management and tracking tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Project (MPP) effectively for planning, tracking, and reporting.
- Stewardship and Continuous Improvement: Demonstrate a strong sense of stewardship, operating with a value creation and continuous improvement mindset to consistently deliver desired outcomes for both the firm and the customer.
