Role Summary
The Associate Director Finance & Accounting will own and lead the end-to-end finance function, ensuring strong financial governance, operational efficiency, and strategic financial planning. This high-impact role combines hands-on accounting ownership with FinOps, revenue assurance, and strategic partnership to support business growth and investor confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage end-to-end accounting operations using cloud-based accounting systems such as Zoho Books
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions in compliance with accounting standards
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow
- Lead FinOps initiatives to optimize financial processes, automation, and operational workflows
- Manage treasury functions including cash flow planning, working capital, and banking relationships
- Implement and enforce internal controls and expense management policies
- Own the revenue cycle including billing, collections, reconciliation, and revenue recognition
- Partner with business teams to identify revenue optimization and pricing improvement opportunities
- Prepare investor reports, dashboards, and financial metrics for board and stakeholder reviews
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to support strategic decision-making
- Provide data-driven insights to leadership on growth, scalability, and capital allocation

Required Skill Sets
- Strong technical accounting knowledge including Ind AS, IFRS, or GAAP
- Hands-on experience with Zoho Books or similar cloud-based accounting/ERP systems
- Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- FinOps and operational finance mindset with process improvement capabilities
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
- Ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- High ownership, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability
Qualifications
- CA, CPA, or MBA (Finance) preferred
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 4 - 7 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or operations roles
- Prior experience in startup or high-growth environments is an advantage
