Location: Bahrain (80%) and India (20%) Reporting to: Head of IT Project Management Job Type: Full-Time Summary: We are looking for a highly qualified IT Planning/Project Manager to lead new initiatives for our client, a Ministry in Bahrain. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, extensive project management experience, and exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills. This role will involve managing cross-functional teams, driving the full project lifecycle, and ensuring the successful delivery of our new IT initiatives. Key Responsibilities : 1. Develop and manage IT projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. 2. Lead project planning activities and facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables. 3. Define project tasks and resource requirements, assembling and coordinating project staff. 4. Manage the full project lifecycle, from planning and development to implementation and maintenance. 5. Develop project plans and associated communications documents. 6. Identify and manage project risks and issues, devising effective mitigation strategies and escalating as necessary. 7. Regularly report on project status, milestones, and deliverables to all stakeholders. 8. Foster a collaborative and high-performing project team environment. Required Skills and Experience: 1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree or PMP certification is a plus. 2. A minimum of 5 years' experience in IT project management, with a strong track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders. 3. Proven experience in strategic IT planning and development, project management, and policy development. 4. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage cross-functional teams. 5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 6. Proficiency in project management software and IT systems. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Experience in managing IT projects within a specific industry (e.g., finance, healthcare, manufacturing, etc.) would be considered an asset. 2. Prior experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
