Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Manager of Retail Technology / IT Applications to lead the technology landscape supporting retail stores and omnichannel operations. The role will own critical retail applications including POS, RFID, people counters, store systems, ERP integrations, analytics, and other retail technology platforms.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring reliable store technology operations, managing technology vendors and integrations, leading large-scale store rollouts, driving retail technology innovation, and ensuring strong standards around system performance, security, data privacy, and reporting.

This role requires a strong combination of retail IT expertise, application ownership, project management, vendor management, and people leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Retail IT & Application Management:

- Own and manage critical retail IT applications and store technology platforms, including POS, RFID, people counters, store applications, and related systems.

- Ensure high availability, reliability, performance, and scalability of retail applications across stores.

- Define application support processes, SLAs, incident management, and problem-management frameworks.

- Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and modernize retail technology operations.

- Ensure seamless integration between store applications, ERP, CRM, payment systems, e-commerce, and other enterprise platforms.

Store Technology & Rollouts:

- Lead technology planning and execution for new store launches, expansions, renovations, and technology rollouts.

- Manage end-to-end deployment of POS, RFID, networking, devices, peripherals, applications, and other store technologies.

- Develop rollout plans, implementation timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.

- Coordinate with business, operations, infrastructure, vendors, and implementation partners to ensure successful deployments.

- Ensure new and existing stores meet defined technology standards and operational requirements.

Vendor & Integration Management:

- Manage relationships with technology vendors, system integrators, implementation partners, and managed service providers.

- Define SLAs, KPIs, service standards, and governance mechanisms for vendors.

- Evaluate technology solutions and vendors based on functionality, scalability, security, performance, and cost.

- Drive contract, commercial, performance, and escalation management.

- Ensure smooth integration between retail applications and enterprise systems.

Retail Technology Innovation:

- Evaluate emerging retail technology solutions and identify opportunities to improve store productivity and customer experience.

- Drive adoption of technologies such as RFID, automation, analytics, digital store solutions, and omnichannel capabilities.

- Partner with business teams to identify technology-enabled opportunities for improving sales, inventory visibility, customer experience, and operational efficiency.

- Lead PoCs and pilots and assess their scalability and business value.

ERP, Omnichannel & Analytics:

- Ensure effective integration between retail applications and ERP platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics or equivalent systems.

- Support omnichannel capabilities connecting physical stores, e-commerce, inventory, order management, and customer systems.

- Ensure accurate and timely retail technology reporting and dashboards.

- Collaborate with data and analytics teams to enable actionable store and business insights.

- Support data integration and reconciliation across retail platforms.

Security, Compliance & Data Privacy:

- Ensure retail applications comply with enterprise IT security, data privacy, and compliance standards.

- Implement appropriate access controls, security practices, monitoring, and audit mechanisms.

- Work with information security teams to identify and mitigate technology risks.

- Ensure compliance with applicable data protection and privacy requirements.

- Manage application vulnerabilities, security incidents, and remediation activities.
