Job Title: Cloud Sales Manager - Government & PSU (North & East India)

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and driven Cloud Sales Manager to lead and grow our cloud services business across Government and PSU customers in Central & State Govt. (North & East India). The ideal candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing key accounts, driving proactive and reactive bids, and ensuring end-to-end delivery, billing, and collections. This role demands strong domain knowledge in cloud solutions and services along with experience in Government sales cycles.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Target Ownership Government India_1 (North & East India)
Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets for:
- Cloud Services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Storage, etc.
- Drive go-to-market strategy and develop regional sales plans for government and PSU accounts. Work closely with internal stakeholders (pre-sales, delivery, product, and legal teams) to craft competitive proposals.
Account Mapping & Management
- Identify and map new government & PSU accounts with high cloud consumption potential.
- Manage and grow existing mapped accounts through upselling and cross-selling. Maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and procurement officials in target accounts.
Bidding Proactive & Reactive
- Proactively identify and initiate potential opportunities ahead of RFPs.
- Respond to published RFPs/RFQs/RFIs from central and state government bodies, ensuring timely and compliant submissions. Coordinate with bid management and solution teams to develop winning proposals.
Project Delivery, Billing & Collections
- Coordinate with the delivery and operations teams to ensure successful project implementation and go-live.
- Track billing milestones and ensure timely collection of payments from government clients. Resolve any delivery or payment-related issues proactively.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, IT, or Business; MBA preferred. 6 - 10 years of experience in enterprise/solution sales, with at least 3 years in cloud sales to Government/PSU clients. Proven success in handling end-to-end government sales, including large RFPs and direct deals. Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Google, Oracle, AWS, Azure Cloud, etc. Good understanding of government procurement processes, GEM, eTendering platforms, and DGS&D procedures. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Preferred Certifications:
Sales certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Oracle Cloud Sales, etc. Familiarity with public sector compliance and regulatory frameworks (e.g., MeitY, NIC norms).
Travel Requirement:
Frequent travel across North & East India as required for client meetings and opportunity development.
