Assistant Manager  Position Purpose :   - Working under the Senior Manager, Valuations Services, this position is responsible for the achievement of business goals/objectives for the operations related to the management of Valuations Services.  Responsibilities :   - Assure valuation products are processed and delivered in a timely and accurate manner to both internal and external customers.   - Monitor day-to-day workflow in Valuation Services to maintain effective and efficient productivity levels. Inform senior management of situations or problems that could affect the timely and accurate delivery of valuations to customers.  - Manage the operational and quality assurance teams to ensure timely fulfillment and delivery of valuation products  - Represent the Valuation Services group on regularly scheduled Client Update calls  - Work with Operations and Relationship Managers to identify client needs and implement processes and procedures to meet the client needs.  - Work with Operations Managers to ensure ongoing communication and cooperation between Vendor Management and Operations   - Review and suggest computer system improvements to technical staff as needed.   - Maintain working knowledge of valuations mortgage terminology and laws.  - Implement internal and external procedures and continually update processes to ensure maximum customer satisfaction, efficiency at the lowest cost.  - Prepare and deliver performance reviews, coaching and discipline when necessary.  - Hire, train, develop and motivate staff.  - Performs other duties as requested.  Education: Bachelor's Degree or job experience in lieu of a degree.  Job Related Experience :   - Five years of experience in mortgage, finance or related industry. Sufficient experience, including supervisory experience, to maintain an in-depth understanding of the organization and business and handle problems and issues that arise, and solve problems without precedents or guidelines; makes decisions to take planned actions   Functional Area Skills/Knowledge :   - Three to five years management experience minimum. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and policies and procedures.   - Should have the ability to effectively communicate information internally and externally with affiliates and customers, including responding to questions to all levels of management, team members in one-on-one and/or in group settings.
