Role Overview:

The QA/QC Head will be responsible for leading and managing the quality assurance and quality control functions This role involves developing and implementing quality management systems, conducting audits, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The QA/QC Head will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and procurement, to ensure that products and services meet the highest quality standards and customer expectations. This position is crucial for maintaining ISGEC's reputation for excellence and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement comprehensive quality management systems (QMS) aligned with ISO/ASME certification and other relevant industry standards to ensure consistent product quality and process efficiency.

- Conduct regular audits of manufacturing processes, supplier facilities to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with quality standards.

- Lead a team of QA/QC engineers and inspectors, providing guidance, training, and performance management to ensure effective execution of quality control activities.

- Establish and maintain quality control procedures for incoming materials, in-process inspections, and final product testing to minimize defects and ensure adherence to specifications.

- Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions to address root causes of quality issues and prevent recurrence.

- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop and implement process improvements that enhance product quality, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.

- Manage relationships with external certification bodies and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

- Oversee the documentation and maintenance of quality records, including inspection reports, test results, and audit findings, to ensure traceability and accountability.

- Provide quality-related training to employees at all levels to promote a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement quality management systems (QMS) in a heavy engineering environment.

- Proven expertise in conducting quality audits, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions.

- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of QA/QC professionals.

- Excellent knowledge of quality control procedures, inspection techniques, and testing methodologies.

- In-depth understanding of ISO/ASME and other relevant industry standards and regulations.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

- Minimum 17-24 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control within the heavy engineering industry.
