Job Summary  This is a research position in an academic setting. Successful candidate will carry out research activities within the mission and strategy of Max Institute of Healthcare Management in one or more of its research themes: (i) Health System Design, (ii) Innovation and Entrepreneurship, (iii) Public Policy and Financing, (iv) Patient Centricity under close guidance and supervision of ISB faculty members.   Responsibilities  1. Data collection: Running large scale surveys which include questionnaire design, sampling and survey administration  2. Database creation: Supervising data-entry, ensuring data quality, creating dataset ready for estimation  3. Data analysis: Developing and analyzing statistical and predictive analytic models  4. Conduct critical review of multiple streams of literature (management, economics, public health, health services, epidemiology  5. Field Work: Obtain necessary approvals and ensure smooth ongoing field activities as per project timelines.  6. Provide support in creation of proposals and grant applications to funding agencies  7. Conduct qualitative research in the form of focused group discussions and semi-structured and structured interviews  8. Write a variety of articles based on research findings for academics (journal articles) as well as non-academics (white papers, reports, opinion and editorial pieces)  9. Prepare presentations based on research findings for internal (within ISB) as well as external (conferences and symposia) events  10. Provide teaching assistance in healthcare courses in PGP and other programs run by MIHM  Skills and Qualifications  1. Position 1: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Health economics / Economics with healthcare costing experience   2. Position 2: Bachelor's or Master's degree in management, economics, public health, epidemiology or public policy. Graduates from other disciplines may also be considered if they have demonstrable experience in or knowledge of the healthcare sector.   3. Candidates with prior work in healthcare costing will receive strong preference.  4. Proficiency in statistical and computational packages such as R, Python, STATA and SAS  5. Familiarity with advanced research methodologies such as statistics, econometrics, simulation, optimization, survey design, and field experiments is desirable  6. Prior experience in field work will be an added advantage  7. Strong writing skills in English and ability to present concepts and data effectively   8. Highly responsive to supervision and ability to produce high quality outputs in the defined timeframe  9.
