Department: Strategic Sales - Defence & Government Sector.
Reporting To: Director - Defence Programs.
Experience: Retired Indian Army/Navy/Air Force Officer with 10-30 years of service, including procurement, logistics, or UAV domain exposure.
Job Objective:.
To lead and scale the defence and paramilitary sales vertical by leveraging your armed forces background, network, and expertise to secure drone technology contracts, engage with decision-makers, and drive strategic relationships with defence institutions, MoD, and government stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Defence Sales
- Identify and pursue opportunities with Army, Navy, Air Force, BSF, CRPF, DRDO, and MoD procurement departments.
- Drive tender participation, RFP/RFQ processes, and technical demonstrations for drone applications in surveillance, reconnaissance, logistics, and tactical ops.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaison with defence procurement officers, SDOs, defence PSUs, and government officials.
- Represent the company in meetings, expos, seminars, and joint evaluations.
Bid Management & Proposals
- Lead technical and commercial proposal submissions aligned with DPP/Defence Acquisition Procedure (DAP 2020).
- Collaborate with pre-sales, engineering, and compliance teams for tailored defence solutions.
Training & Implementation
- Coordinate pilot training programs (e., RPTO) and support field deployment within defence establishments.
- Assist in defence trials and integration exercises of drones and payloads.
Relationship Management
- Maintain long-term relationships with commanding units, defence academies, and retired officer networks for influence-building and referrals.
Requirements:
- Retired officer at the rank of Captain, Major, Lt. Colonel or Colonel (or equivalent from Navy/Air Force).
- Demonstrated experience in logistics, operations, UAV deployment, or defence procurement roles.
- Knowledge of Defence Procurement Procedure (DPP)/DAP, MAKE-II projects, and offset programs is highly desirable.
- Strong network within Indian Army, MoD, CAPFs, and DRDO labs.
- Ability to lead presentations, field trials, and high-level meetings confidently.
