
Job Title - Procurement Lead

Qualification: BE (Mandatory)
Candidate must be from EPC/Manufacturing industry
Strong experience in procurement of electrical and fabrication items
About the Role:
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities for EPC projects sectors. The role involves domestic and international sourcing of engineered equipment, bulk materials, and electrical packages to support project execution, fabrication, and site requirements in line with project schedules and contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead domestic and international procurement for EPC projects in Water sectors.
- Handle procurement of electrical systems and components including MCC, TPC, TLC panels, switchgear, cables, and associated accessories.
- Manage procurement for fabrication items such as vessels, tanks, pressure parts, structural steel, and steel pipelines.
- Coordinate with engineering teams for technical clarifications, approvals, and vendor drawings.
- Conduct technical and commercial bid evaluations in line with project specifications and client requirements.
- Develop and manage a strong vendor base including OEMs, fabricators, and international suppliers.
- Lead commercial negotiations, contract finalization, and issuance of purchase orders.
- Monitor procurement schedules to align with project execution and site requirements.
- Coordinate with inspection agencies, expediting teams, logistics, and customs for timely delivery.
- Ensure compliance with project quality plans, inspection requirements, and contractual terms.
- Control procurement costs and support project cost optimization initiatives.
- Maintain procurement documentation, vendor performance records, and MIS reporting.
- Ensure adherence to company procurement procedures, statutory requirements, and client guidelines.
Experience & Skills:
- 16-18 years of procurement experience in EPC / project environments.
- Strong knowledge of project procurement cycles and contract management.
- Proven ability in vendor development, negotiation, and cost control.
- Strong coordination skills with engineering, project, quality, and site teams.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical / Mechanical / Instrumentation preferred)
- Postgraduate qualification in Materials Management / Supply Chain Management is desirable
