Job Title: Principal Officer Investment Research Analyst

Location: GIFT City, Gandhinagar

Experience: 5+ years

Qualification: CFA / MBA (Finance) / Postgraduate in Economics, Finance, or related field

About the Role:

The Principal Officer will oversee investment research, compliance, and reporting functions for the firms IFSC operations. The role requires a strong understanding of capital markets, AIF/PMS/portfolio research, and regulatory frameworks under IFSCA/SEBI.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead investment research and analytical activities across equity, fixed income, and alternative investment strategies.

- Conduct detailed market, sector, and company-level research to support portfolio decisions.

- Prepare investment notes, performance reviews, and valuation reports.

- Monitor macroeconomic trends and develop actionable investment insights.

- Ensure adherence to IFSCA and SEBI regulatory guidelines, including filings and disclosures.

- Oversee due diligence, risk assessment, and compliance monitoring processes.

- Collaborate with fund managers, compliance officers, and custodians to ensure operational and regulatory alignment.

- Represent the firm in communications with IFSCA, exchanges, and auditors as required.

- Drive automation, reporting accuracy, and process improvements in research documentation.

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills.

- Deep knowledge of capital markets, fund structures (AIF/PMS/IFSC), and regulatory frameworks.

- Proficiency in Bloomberg/Capital IQ/Refinitiv or equivalent tools.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Leadership capability with strong attention to detail and governance mindset.

Preferred Background:

- Prior experience in AIF/PMS/Fund Management/Wealth platforms.

- Exposure to international investments or IFSC operations preferred.

- Registered or eligible to be registered as a Principal Officer with IFSCA.
