Investment Manager - Venture Capital/Private Equity

Designation: Investment Manager - VC/PE (5-6 years)

Overview:

Client is a multi-asset class investment firm with exposure across listed equities, unlisted companies, and private equity funds.

Role description:

Work alongside the family to identify and invest in suitable opportunities in the VC/PE space in India. Responsibilities include:

- Lead sourcing and evaluation of new investment opportunities in the firm's sectors of preference

- Drive meaningful research into sectors of interest, formulate investment thesis, and track market data and trends for actionable insights

- Lead due diligence efforts and assist in post-investment monitoring of portfolio companies where required

- Prepare financial models and maintain other relevant deal team documentation

- Track portfolio company MIS reports and present summary dashboards to the family

- Engage with start-up founders and the VC ecosystem to build a curated network of connections relevant for the firm's investment thesis and portfolio companies

Educational qualification:

Graduate/Post graduate degree or relevant professional qualifications from top tier institutes. Additional qualifications such as CFA or CAIA will be valuable

Job specifications:

- 5-6 Years of prior experience working in investment banking, consulting or a venture/private equity fund

- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaboratively work alongside the existing team

- Ability to see the bigger picture and help position the firm strongly in its spheres of focus
