Investment Manager - Pre-IPO & Private Markets (AIF / PE)
This role offers a unique opportunity to drive investment decisions and portfolio management within the dynamic landscape of pre-IPO and private market investments.
As an Investment Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities across various sectors, contributing directly to the growth and success of the fund.
You will collaborate closely with senior management, investment analysts, and external stakeholders, including investment banks, legal counsel, and portfolio company management teams. Your insights and expertise will be instrumental in generating strong returns for investors and shaping the future of promising companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investment opportunities, encompassing financial analysis, market research, and competitive landscape assessment, to provide informed recommendations to the investment committee.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of pre-IPO and private market investment opportunities by actively networking with industry contacts, attending industry events, and leveraging internal resources, to ensure a consistent flow of high-quality deals.
- Structure and negotiate investment terms, including valuation, deal structure, and legal documentation, to maximize returns and mitigate risks for the fund.
- Monitor and manage portfolio company performance, providing strategic guidance and operational support to management teams, to enhance value creation and achieve investment objectives.
- Prepare investment memos, presentations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders, clearly articulating investment rationale, risks, and potential returns, to facilitate informed decision-making.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated ability to conduct in-depth financial analysis, valuation, and due diligence on potential investment opportunities.
- Proven experience in structuring and negotiating investment transactions, with a strong understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound investment decisions under pressure.
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in Private Equity or Investment Banking.
