Investment Banking Professional - Financial Sponsors Group/Private Equity/Origination & Servicing

Responsibilities:

- Deal Origination: VC/ PE fund raising for different sectors and businesses. Building of strong pipeline for revenue generation

- Manage coverage team in mandate origination & active engagement with potential clients

- Work on pitch books, background research on specific targets / sectors

- Establishing strong relationships with investors; specific focus on private equity funds and investment focused firms

- Engagement with key decision makers/partners in the funds in order to develop insights on investor preferences & ability to influence key decision makers

- Originating IPO mandates and secondary blocks from Investors

- End to end transaction execution including

- Preparing marketing material/IMs and detailed financial models work closely with and guide the junior team members to deliver required collaterals

- Marketing the transaction to investors and handholding the deal negotiation process to ensure successful closure

- Building a strong knowledge base on the sector(s) Industry views, comparative deal analysis, valuation insights

- Complex deal structuring capabilities along with understanding of client needs

Candidate Profile:

- Strong understanding of the PE, industry & strategy to tap potential clients & companies

- Expert knowledge on IM, financial modeling and valuation principles

- Relationships with key investors & potential clients in the business ecosystem

- Resourceful in terms of network of friends, professional connects in the industry to source market intelligence

- Ability to spot emerging trends and accordingly work with coverage teams

- Eye for detail with ability to simultaneously manage transactions across different sub sectors in the industry

- Entrepreneurial attitude, ability to lead the team & achieve targets & team engagement

- Excellent interpersonal skills, self-driven and highly motivated

Experience: Ideally should have min. 7+ years of experience in IB with focus on clients acquisition for PE / FSG transactions. Should have strong track record of successful transaction closure.
