Our Company
Currently launching its second 800 crore VC fund. The first fund, launched in 2022, is a 270 crore early-stage venture capital fund managed by Mumbai-based, overseeing - 1,300 Cr in assets across PMS, offshore FPI, and angel investments. The fund targets revenue-generating tech startups in semiconductor, spacetech, AI, fintech, advanced electronics, robotics, and more, using AI-assisted screening (Yoda.ai). It emphasizes capital-efficient models with exponential growth and has created a diversified portfolio of 35 companies for long-term value creation.
Role Summary:
We seek an Investment Associate with at least 2 years of direct investment experience in tech startups to evaluate opportunities, shape theses with founders, and engage the ecosystem. Reporting to the Head of Investments, this role drives sourcing to closure in deeptech and fintech sectors. Strong understanding of electronics, hardware, AI is very essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate investment opportunities by sourcing, screening, and conducting detailed research on startups raising capital, including analysis of technology, business models, financials, and competitive positioning.
- Collaborate with founders to develop and refine investment theses, conduct deep dives into business models, and provide strategic guidance across pre- and post-investment phases.
- Perform in-depth industry and market research using global and domestic data sources, including value chain mapping and identification of key participants.
- Track early-stage deals, funding trends, and transaction benchmarks across the startup ecosystem.
- Liaise with legal counsel to support deal structuring, documentation, and closure processes.
- Lead deal processes, including managing diligence teams, financial modelling, term sheet negotiations, and investment committee recommendations.
- Track portfolio performance and prepare periodic notes and reports.
- Support portfolio companies on operations, growth, and exit planning, while monitoring performance against fund IRR targets (30%+ over 7 years).
- Engage with the startup ecosystem by building networks with founders, co-investors, accelerators, and events to drive proprietary deal flow and syndication.
