Location: Remote
Investment Associate Role
Has an MBA from a top tier college, ISB, IIMs
2-3 years of experience in working in investments evaluation, preferably in tech industry; Experience of closing deals is a plus
Ability to work in the following hours
2-3 times a week until 12 night
Depending on work, till 2-3 am.
When deals are closing, work spills over weekends
Excellent communication skills since they need to talk to the prospective companies
Ability to work on financial models in excel without mouse, very superior skills in excel

Responsibilities
1. Industry and Market Research:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes in the software industry.
- Conduct research on emerging technologies, potential investment targets, and industry best practices.
- Provide insights and recommendations to the investment team based on market intelligence.
2. Investment Analysis and Due Diligence:
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, market research, and due diligence on potential investment opportunities.
- Develop financial models and perform valuation assessments to support investment decision-making.
- Prepare investment memos, investment committee presentations, and other relevant documentation.
3. Portfolio Management and Value Creation:
- Actively participate in the management and oversight of portfolio companies.
- Collaborate with portfolio company management teams to identify growth opportunities, operational improvements, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to assess portfolio company performance.
- Assist in developing and implementing value creation strategies for portfolio companies, including organic growth initiatives and potential add-on acquisitions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly and annual financial statements of portfolio companies.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
Qualifications
- Top-tier MBA with 2+ years of post-MBA experience in either management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or finance and strategy roles at high growth start-ups.
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills, including proficiency in Excel and other relevant financial analysis software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with portfolio company management teams and other stakeholders.
