Investment Analyst - CAT III AIF | IT / Technology Sector

About the Role:

We are looking for an Investment Analyst to join the investment team of a leading asset management platform, with a focus on Category III AIF and public-market investments.

The role will involve fundamental research and investment analysis of listed companies, with a specific focus on the IT / Technology sector. The candidate will work closely with senior investment professionals and contribute to investment ideas, portfolio decisions and fund strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct fundamental research on listed companies, primarily within the IT / Technology sector.

- Track industry trends, competitive dynamics, business models, management quality and key growth drivers.

- Develop detailed financial models, valuation models and earnings forecasts.

- Generate differentiated investment ideas and stock recommendations based on fundamental analysis.

- Prepare investment notes, sector reports and detailed investment theses for discussion with senior investment professionals.

- Monitor quarterly results, management commentary, corporate announcements and industry developments.

- Participate in management meetings, analyst meets, expert calls and primary research.

- Evaluate investment opportunities from a risk-reward and valuation perspective.

- Monitor portfolio holdings and identify changes in investment thesis, valuation or risk factors.

- Work closely with the CIO / Fund Manager / Investment Committee on investment decisions.

- Contribute to portfolio construction, position sizing and ongoing portfolio monitoring.

Key Requirements:

- 2 - 7 years of relevant experience in equity research, investment management, AIF, PMS, asset management or public-market investing.

Mandatory:

- Experience with a Category III AIF, preferably with a listed / public-market investment strategy.

- Strong experience in IT / Technology / Software / Digital / IT Services sector research.

- Demonstrated experience in stock research, investment analysis and idea generation.

- Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation methodologies and financial modelling.

- Ability to independently develop an investment thesis and articulate the rationale, risks and valuation.

- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to present investment views to senior stakeholders.

- MBA/PGDM from an IIM preferred.

- Candidates with 2 - 3 years of experience from IIMs with strong CAT III / public-market exposure may also be considered.
