Description:
Job Description: Investment Analyst (Multi-Asset Class)
Hiring for: A Leading Single Family Office
Location: New Delhi (On-site)
Experience: 0 to 2 Years
The Context:
We are the private investment office of a prominent Indian business family. Unlike a standard VC fund that only looks at startups, or a PE fund that only looks at buyouts, we operate across the entire capital spectrum. Our mandate is broad: Structured Debt, Public Markets, Private Equity, and Real Estate.
Because we deploy our own proprietary capital, we are not under pressure to deploy funds just to show activity. We do fewer deals (23 major transactions a year), but we go significantly deeper than the market standard. We don't just bet on "stories"we bet on asset quality, cash flows, and rigorous fundamental analysis.
The Role: You will work directly with the Investment Team to evaluate opportunities across asset classes. This is a high-accountability role where "back-of-the-envelope" math doesn't cut it. You will be responsible for the nuts and bolts of the investment decision.
What You Will Do:
- Cross-Asset Modeling: You won't just model startup revenue. You will build complex financial models for Real Estate yields, Structured Debt repayment schedules, and Public Market valuations. You need to be comfortable switching gears between a discounted cash flow (DCF) for a mature company and a cap rate analysis for a property deal.
- Deep-Dive Diligence: In a VC firm, you might skim a deck. Here, you will read the fine print. You will analyze loan covenants, study regulatory filings, and dissect balance sheets to understand the true risk of an investment.
- Deal Structuring: You will assist in structuring terms for debt and equity deals, ensuring our capital is protected while capturing upside.
- Memo Writing: You will draft the investment notes that the family uses to make final decisions. These notes must be fact-heavy, objective, and precise.
Who We Are Looking For:
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience. You likely come from a Family Office, Investment Banking, or a rigorous Buy-Side role.
- Education: Top-tier undergraduate degree (SSCBS, SRCC, IITs, etc.) with a strong academic record.
- CFA: A CFA designation (Level 1 cleared or higher) is highly preferred. It shows you have the technical discipline we value.
- Technical Chops: Your Excel skills must be top-notch. You should be able to build a 3-statement model from scratch without using a mouse.
- Mindset: You are detail-oriented to a fault. You enjoy the "boring" part of investing reading annual reports, checking debt schedules, and verifying numbers because you know thats where the money is made or lost.
