- Proposal Simulation & Design: Create data-driven investment proposals and simulations, utilizing historical performance data to project potential outcomes for prospective clients.
- Market & Product Research: Conduct ongoing research to track the performance of various funds, identifying emerging risks and high-conviction opportunities within the Mutual Fund, PMS, and AIF space.
- RM Enablement & Support: Act as the technical subject matter expert during RM-client calls, providing real-time analytical support and answering complex queries regarding portfolio construction.
- Advisory Execution Quality: Oversee the quality of advisory execution, ensuring that all investment recommendations are backed by rigorous research and documented accurately.
- CRM & Data Governance: Maintain meticulous records within the CRM system, documenting all client advice and investment rationales to ensure audit readiness and continuity of service.
- Risk Monitoring: Proactively identify performance laggards or style drifts in client portfolios, triggering timely rebalancing discussions with the RM team.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work directly with the Fund Management team to gain insights into house views and integrate them into client-facing materials.
- Training & Awareness: Simplify complex financial concepts into clear, actionable insights for internal teams and clients, maintaining a "jargon-free" communication standard.
Technical Requirements:
- Analytical Mastery: 2+ years of experience in an investment advisory or analyst role with expert-level MS Excel skills (VBA, Power Query, or advanced modeling is a plus).
- Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Indian wealth landscape, specifically Mutual Funds (MF), Portfolio Management Services (PMS), and Alternate Investment Funds (AIF).
- Portfolio Metrics: Strong grasp of portfolio risk-return metrics such as Sharpe Ratio, Beta, Standard Deviation, and XIRR.
- Tech Affinity: High comfort level with CRM platforms and modern wealth-tech tools for portfolio tracking and research.
Preferred Skills:
- Certifications: Progress towards CFA (Level 1 or 2) or NISM Series X-A/X-B (Investment Adviser) is highly desirable.
- Founding Mindset: Experience working in a startup or a fast-paced "founding team" environment.
- Writing Skills: Ability to draft structured research notes and professional investment proposals.
Core Competencies:
- Result Driven: A focus on high-quality advisory execution and timely delivery of analytics.
- High Empathy & Ethics: A non-transactional approach that prioritizes the client's long-term financial health over aggressive selling.
- Responsive Collaboration: Ability to build strong work relationships with RMs and provide quick, accurate responses to client needs.
- Documentation Discipline: Exceptional attention to detail in record-keeping and regulatory compliance.
