Inventory Control Manager
Description: We are looking for an experienced Inventory Control Manager to lead and optimize inventory planning, control, and governance across warehouses and distribution locations. The role will be responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy, improving stock turnover, minimizing obsolescence, and aligning inventory levels with business demand and supply chain objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical capability, hands-on ERP experience, and cross-functional coordination skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and optimize inventory levels to balance service levels, working capital, and cost efficiency
- Implement inventory policies including minmax levels, safety stock, ABC/XYZ classification, and cycle counting
- Drive accuracy in stock records through regular audits, reconciliations, and physical verifications
- Analyze slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory and drive liquidation or reduction strategies
- Collaborate closely with procurement, planning, production, logistics, and finance teams
- Track and report key inventory KPIs such as inventory turns, ageing, fill rate, and shrinkage
- Lead system-driven improvements in ERP/WMS for inventory visibility and control
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and SOPs
- Lead and develop inventory control teams across locations
