International Key Account Manager (Africa) - A Leading MNC FMCG


Department - International Business

Reporting To - Head - International Business

Job Purpose & Scope:

Managing export operations, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and handling financial reporting, budgeting, and pricing to support smooth and cost-effective international shipments.

Job Description:

Market expansion:

- Identify prospective customers, generate leads, and ensure new market entry as per business plan of the year.

- Exposure of using lead generation sites, initiating discussion with customers and converting leads into prospects.

- Planning and participating in Exhibitions to generate leads.

- Analyze all competitor activities, compliance requirements and duties of the target markets.

- Sales Growth from existing customers

- Generate revenue from the existing customers as per year plan and maintain good business relations with them.

- Selling and cross selling of existing / new products to customers and prospects.

- Liaise with the customers for the purchase orders and ensure timely order processing & dispatch.

- Keep the customers informed about any update/changes regarding dispatch schedule, materials etc.

- Understand the various issues/queries of the customers and resolve them in consultation with the reporting manager.

- Plan market promotions in collaboration with Export Head to meet sales objectives.

Operations:

- Update the CRM as per need.

- Follow up with the customers for timely collection of payments.

- Team & Stakeholder Management

- Collaborate with Operations Manager to ensure timely customer service.

- Convince customer to fulfil all documentary requirements of Operations Manager.

- Discuss with Head Exports regarding promotional plans and pricing as per market requirement.

Experience:

- Essential: MBA (Marketing or International Business)

- Desirable: MBA (International Business)

- Experience: Market knowledge of Africa.

- Around 3-7 years of experience of FMCG, Food or Household goods.

- Desirable: Industry exposure of Biscuit, Edible oil or cigarettes will be preferred.

- Travel savvy - Willingness to travel to any location to meet customers if deemed necessary by the reporting manager.
