Must have exp in International Direct Tax (EMEA):
- Retail tax compliance co-ordination: oversee the co-ordination between internal finance teams and external tax advisors to manage and review retail tax reporting compliance across multiple European jurisdictions.
- Annual, quarterly, and bi-monthly tax compliance: co-ordinate information flows between internal finance teams and external tax advisors and provide first level review of annual Fund and SPV tax compliance calculations / tax returns (incl.
German partnership tax returns, quarterly tax provisions for EMEA BXCI House entities, Luxembourg and Irish SPVs tax returns, and Irish VAT bi-monthly returns).
- Annual Fund tax analysis: conduct annual Luxembourg reverse hybrid tax analysis on BXCI Funds.
- Tax database: manage and maintain the various compliance/deal/fund databases.
- Weekly deal tracker: Update the deal tracker on a weekly basis and co-ordinate with legal team.
- UK Carry Reporting: Assist with the IBCI annual review for the Funds paying Carry and coo-ordinate with PwC and the BX House tax team.
- Deal specific tax compliance support: address and manage tax compliance issues arising from transactions (incl.
- UK interest withholding tax self-accounting to HMRC, DAC6 tracking).
- Fund SPV tax operational support: provide operational tax support for Fund SPVs prior to investments (incl.
- UK double tax treaty passport applications, Italian withholding tax exempt custodian account set up).
- Ad hoc: support on other miscellaneous tax initiatives and ad-hoc requests.
- Must be personable with ability to develop strong relationships both within the BXCI Tax team and across the business, including with the in-House Finance teams.
- Will be required to work collaboratively with external tax advisor.
- Exposure to international tax compliance and reporting is highly preferred.
