International Business Development Manager - Cocopeat
Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager-(Cocopeat Segment) to drive global B2B growth specifically in the cocopeat and sustainable growing media segment, focusing on Japan, Europe, and the US markets.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Market Expansion & Sales
- Identify, develop, and onboard partners in international markets.
- Formulate and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Expand international market presence for cocopeat products and related horticulture substrates across priority regions.
2. Business Development
- Identify and develop B2B opportunities for cocopeat applications in horticulture, greenhouse farming, hydroponics, and commercial agriculture.
- Negotiate distributorship, licensing, and partnership agreements.
- Develop customized go-to-market strategies for Targeted countries.
3. Regulatory & Compliance
- Support product registration, export compliance, and certification requirements related to cocopeat and organic growing media in target countries.
- Collaborate with consultants/partners to fast-track product approvals.
4. Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with importers, distributors, and commercial growers for cocopeat supply partnerships.
- Represent the company at international exhibitions, trade shows, and industry delegations.
5. Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Track global demand trends, pricing, and competitor activity in the cocopeat and horticulture substrate market.
- Provide monthly reports, forecasts, and country-specific strategies to management.
- Monitor collections, Letters of Credit (LCs), and credit terms.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Masters degree in International Business/ Agricultural/ business / administration/ marketing, or any other related field. One must have experience in agribusiness or agribusiness development
- Experience in cocopeat, horticulture inputs, or agri-export business is highly preferred.
- Experience in working across on Japan, Europe, and the US markets.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software
PREFFERED SKILLS:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, combined negotiation, communication, and cross-cultural management skills.
- Experience in BD techniques
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively across global markets.
- Good Business Sense
